Coronavirus and the wedding industry

How is the coronavirus affecting your wedding?

Couples have racked up bills for thousands of pounds for weddings that will be ruined by coronavirus. Some couples are able to reschedule with their venues and suppliers, but unfortunately some are not. As it stands, none of my 2020 couples have had to reschedule, and i’m keeping my fingers crossed for them that it will remain that way. But if they do have to reschedule, I will do everything possible to fulfil my duty to them as their wedding photographer. And i'f i’m not available i’m part of a fantastic group of friends and photographers that have all got each others backs, supporting each other and stepping up if one of us gets ill or for any scheduling conflicts.

This isn’t a doom and gloom post by any means, it’s a keep your chin up and ride the storm post. We’re al going through the same thing and we should all be supporting each other in any way we can.

Weddings are time of joy and happiness, so let’s not forget that. The most important thing is to stay happy, stay positive and hold the ones you love close (unless they’re poorly, then you can put them in the shed).

From a small business owner’s point of view, it is a worry. I’ve seen many friends and business owners say they’re at risk of going under. Do your best to support small businesses and the UK economy as a whole.

Peace and love, peace and love.
